The Wax Studio operates by appointment to ensure each client receives dedicated time and attention. Booking in advance is highly recommended to secure your preferred time.

Where is The Wax Studio located?
The Wax Studio is located in Eastpointe, Michigan and proudly serves clients throughout Metro Detroit and Macomb County.

How often should I get waxed?
Most clients see the best results when waxing every 4–6 weeks. Consistent waxing helps reduce hair thickness and leads to smoother results over time.

Before Your Appointment

How long should my hair be before waxing?
Hair should be at least ¼ inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. This allows the wax to properly grip the hair for the best results.

Should I shave before my waxing appointment?
No. Shaving can interfere with the waxing process and may cause uneven results. If you’ve shaved recently, it’s best to wait about 2–3 weeks before booking.

Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes, waxing can still be performed during your cycle. However, skin may be more sensitive during this time. Wearing a tampon or menstrual cup is recommended for Brazilian services.

Aftercare

What should I avoid after waxing?
For 24–48 hours after your wax, avoid:

• Hot baths or saunas

• Intense workouts

• Sun exposure or tanning

• Tight clothing on the waxed area

These precautions help prevent irritation.

How can I prevent ingrown hairs?
Regular exfoliation and moisturizing are key. Gentle exfoliation 2–3 times per week helps keep pores clear and reduces the chance of ingrown hairs.

Is a Brazilian wax painful?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients say the discomfort is quick and manageable. Regular waxing also becomes easier over time as hair grows back finer.

How long do Brazilian wax results last?
